Startup Investors Give Fuel to Rival IQ’s Fast Growth and Market Differentiation

Rival IQ News & Events

$1 million in fresh capital from existing and new startup investors

Most of us here at Rival IQ are serial start-up founders or employees, yet the thrill of having a group of professional investors give you a further vote of confidence on what you are doing never gets old.  We are extremely fortunate to be working with an experienced, diverse group of startup investors, and we thank them.

Existing investors providing additional financing include Vulcan Capital, Gravity Ventures, and Galvanize Venture Fund, as well as angels, including Rudy Gadre, Kristopher Brown and marketing expert Jay Baer. New investors we are welcoming to the Rival IQ family include Confluence Capital, well-known Seattle angels Geoff Entress and Gary Rubens, as well as GNIP (acquired by Twitter) founder and CEO Jud Valeski.

This fresh capital will help us accelerate our already fast-paced growth of customers in more than 25 countries spanning large brands, smaller organizations and leading marketing agencies, as well as enable further product development to help our customers succeed.

Our mission is to help marketers win in digital marketing!

From the beginning, our mission has been to make the increasingly complex and data-driven world of digital marketing easier, faster and more intelligent so marketers can do their jobs better.  Today, marketers are bombarded with digital data, content, and the need to be everywhere online, while at the same time under increased pressure to illustrate their business impact and how they are doing compared to the competition.

As healthy competitors ourselves, we designed Rival IQ to help marketers win against the competition by arming them with the intelligence and reports they need to benchmark and track competitors, improve digital initiatives, and illustrate marketing success.

That seems to be resonating and filling a gap in the market.

As Jay Baer, one of our early investors and foremost digital marketing expert, said:  “The marketing analytics market is hot but also crowded, and Rival IQ is uniquely bringing together competitive intelligence, social media analytics and Web marketing in a single online tool that eliminates the need for multiple products or weeks of manual analysis, and in doing so are building a sustainable value proposition both for customers and investors.”

Our competitive edge is one, easy online tool for multiple channels, competitive context and proactive alerts!

There’s a lot of marketing tools out there. And of course we have competition. But our differentiation is bringing together data and top content from multiple channels, including six social media networks, SEO/SEM keywords and hundreds of thousands of websites – all in one online tool for both the target company and their competition.

We try to make the marketer’s life easier while still providing powerful analytics and information, basically breaking through all the noise and data overload with fast, insightful analytics and reports that are immediately actionable.

One of marketing agency customers said it well.  “Rival IQ has revolutionized the way we do a social competitive analysis, and we are often the first to know what our competitors are doing behind the scenes, said Chris Mikulin, Digital Marketing Manager at BoxClever, a leading web design and digital marketing agency in Canada. “With Rival IQ, we also have streamlined our process for coaching clients on social media, as we can quickly access their best and worst content and quickly make recommendations with data to back it up.”
